MANILA, Philippines?The admission of Hayden Kho?s mother his son was high on drugs when the controversial cosmetic surgeon had his steamy trysts with actress Katrina Halili could even make him liable for use of illegal drugs, Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez made the statement following a television interview of Kho?s mother Irene who accused Halili of providing his son with illegal drugs.

?They should also be charged for being drug users,? Gonzalez said, referring to Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The law prohibits among others the introduction of ?any dangerous drug into the body of any person with or without his/her knowledge by injection, inhalation, ingestion or other means.?

?Drugs should not be an excuse to escape liability,? Gonzalez said.
