Dollywood
Loydie’s prescription for a broken heart

?TIME is my medicine for heartaches,? says John Lloyd Cruz, who has just renewed his contract with Biogesic, which is his trusted medicine for the headaches that go along with the heartaches.

So is his heart empty now that he has split up with Liz Uy? ?I can?t answer that right now,? Loydie replies. ?I need time to think.?

In spite of being way up there, I?m amazed how down-to-earth Loydie is. When we were in Iloilo for the Kapamilya Dingyang caravan, he had no qualms about mingling with his fans. He also gamely talked to my daughter on the phone when I requested him to since she has a big crush on him.

Loydie remains mum about being linked to Sarah Geronimo and Ruffa Gutierrez. ?Team effort ang success ng team-up naming ni Bea [My successful team-up with Bea Alonzo was a tem effort],? he admits. ?But with Sarah, I give her all the credit.?

For all we know, his thwarted romance with perennial screen partner Bea might blossom in the long run. Show biz pairs are always subject to change without prior notice and due to insistent public intriga.

John Lloyd fanatics are eagerly awaiting his movie with Vilma Santos, especially his tender gay scenes with Luis Manzano. ?I?ve never been homophobic,? he says. ?I respect gays so I hope they respect me back.?

Respect is something Loydie has truly earned.

Body talk

Since everything about Hayden Kho is now out in the open, I can?t help but divulge this: During the early days of Hayden?s romance with Vicki Belo, Vicki asked me to help her write love notes for him since he has a way with words, or so she said. Too bad that when Hayden ran out of words, he let his body do the talking with matching video at that!

Box-office king?

Wilson Tieng of Solar Films is producing a feature film, ?Wapakman? starring who else but Manny Pacquiao. It?s a comedy about a single dad with five kids who accidentally acquired super powers. Will the boxing champ be the next box-office king?

Blanket cover-up
During a shoot, a co-star of Erich Gonzales and Xian Lim noticed that the names ?Erica and Xian? are embroidered on Erich?s blanket. When teased about it, she played ?deadma.? No use to cover up. The blanket says it all.

Show biz Cinderella?

Could it be true that Cristine Reyes refuses to shoot after 2 a.m? Whether her scenes are finished or not, she leaves the set when the clock strikes 2. Cinderella show biz style?

?Coming Out?

Finally, there?s a magazine made for the growing LGBT community. It?s called Ketchup (published by True Colors, available in National Book Store).

Check out their much awaited second issue entitled ?Coming Out.? Their maiden issue ?The Irony of Being Gay? was sold out. It contains funny articles, true stories on being gay and lesbian and topics on how to deal with a loved one who?s gay. Come out and come open the pages of Ketchup.

Guess who

?Two matinee idols swear that they will never set foot again on a fave destination of celebs because a gay official in that province tried to make a pass at them. Their host welcomed them with open arms and what else?

PERSONAL: My endless thanks to Ms. Mags Cue of Mags boutique, (SM North Edsa Annex Bldg., with branches in all SMs nationwide) for the fab outfits I wear on my daily cable TV show with IC, ?Chikalectric,? and to Nonoy Ybiernas and Paul Borja for their kind assistance. Check out their hip yet affordable clothes, shoes, bags and accessories for those whose true passion is fashion.

Thanks a mil to Ms Pinky Tee of Goldilocks for ?overfeeding? us with their yummy dishes every taping day of my show. Can?t have enough of the Goldi Goodies.

Congrats to Dagz and Bombel of SNA-BBG team for winning the championship game.
