Dollywood
New twist in Hayden, Katrina video scandal

JUST when I thought I had enough of the Hayden-Katrina brouhaha, I stumbled upon a shocking piece of evidence. After all has been said, uploaded, viewed and done, there's still more to unravel.

This time, it's not a videotape but an audiotape. It was inadvertently recorded by a star-struck household helper on her cell phone.

Having grown up in show biz, I thought I'm already shock-proof but upon hearing the tape, my jaw dropped. It reaffirmed how cruel show biz can be.

The helper will surely turn helpless once the recording falls into the wrong hands. The ongoing circus is far from over.

Refreshing face

Regine Tolentino has one of the most refreshing faces in the biz. Her sunny disposition is no put-on. She maintains her glow by frequenting YSA (Young Skin Always) Skin Care Center of Dr. Isabel Lopez Nazal, which she endorses. Other celeb clients include Mel Tiangco, Cherry Pie Picache, Kristine Hermosa, Rio Locsin, Kris Bernal, Aljur Abrenica, Ryza Cenon, Dion Ignacio, and Rainier Castillo.

"I have regular RF treatment, which is like a massage with the effects of a good workout," says Regine. She has also worked out her marriage and reconciled with Lander Vera Perez. "Love is really lovelier the second time around," she gushes. "Lander has his own work at the Department of Foreign Affairs now and I'm busy with mine, too. That way we don't suffocate each other. Couples should let each other grow."

Her advice to other women on how to win their man back? "Don't give too much of yourself away," she says. "Men like challenge. Don't nag about petty things and bawal ang losyang [it is bad to be ugly]!"

As we age, we gotta maintain our market value.

Eye for talent

Piolo Pascual is producing the launching movie of Eugene Domingo, "Kimidora." Long overdue for Uge. A great actor like PJ has an eye for real talent. It takes one to know one whose scenes are always "take one."

Cannes sidelights

Cannes Film Festival's Best Director Brilliante Mendoza shared with me some sidelights about his sojourn in France. "During the latter part of the fest, we got tired of sosyal na [expensive] food so we ate at a cheap Chinese resto, kasi na-miss namin mag-rice [we missed having rice]," he recalls. "And napakalayo ng nilakad namin para makabili ng cheap na souvenirs [And we walked far to get cheap souvenirs] (laughs). For the sosy [expensive] part, my tux and shoes were sponsored by Fendi and we were given one night and three additional rooms at Hotel Grey D'Albion at 600 euro per room."

Ooh la la! Vive Le Mendoza!

Contagious sweetness

Kim Chiu, Jake Cuenca, Gerald Anderson and the multi-awarded cast of "Tayong Dalawa" (weeknights after "Only You" on ABS-CBN), are in a euphoric state because the series has stayed on top of the ratings since its pilot episode.

My son IC told me that during his shoot with Kim and Gerald, Gerald would always get a kick out of scaring Kim in a malambing (sweet) way.

Kimerald's sweetness is contagious. No wonder the viewers are hooked!

PERSONAL: Thanks a mil to the Rennaisance Hotel "angels" Grace Calingo and Trish Panares for a sumptuous dinner at the hotel's Chinese resto Jasmine. I couldn't stop burping.
