What?s phenomenal about Michael V is his intrigue-free life which is rare for celebrities of his stature. GMA 7?s CEO lawyer Felipe Gozon told me that Michael V was one of the most advertiser-friendly Kapuso star because he doesn?t get entangled in controversy.

How does he manage to stay away from intrigues? ?It?s a conscious choice,? he says. ?I hate problems so creating one is the least of my concerns.?

What?s his fondest memory with Ogie? ?When we left ?Tropang Trumpo,?? he recalls. ?And when he got separated. For me, those were Ogie?s defining moments. His triumph over both tells you how much of a man he has grown.?

What makes a funnyman like him cry? ?Sad news, sad movies,? he quips. ?And directors who believe I can pull off a career in drama.?

What?s the funniest thing that ever happened to him? ?When I was a kid, I actually thought it would be funny if I got famous,? he says. ?Now I think I?m famous because people actually think I?m funny.?

What?s his fave yaya memory? ?I came from a poor family; hence, no yaya,? he says. ?My wife and I are hands-on parents so our kids don?t need yayas. My wife retired when our eldest, Milo, turned 2. He?s now 15. Our other kids are Yanni (11), Migo (6) and May Paul (10 months). We don?t have a personal driver, too. I pick up my kids from school.?

Unlike his Loser Yaya character, Michael V is a winner dad and comedian.

No new man

Maxene Magalona shrugs off rumors that JC Tiuseco is the new man in her life. ?I just broke up with my BF of six years,? she explains, ?so I?m not yet ready for anything romantic. JC and I are barkada with Patrick Garcia, Glaiza de Castro and Rich Asuncion. We all became close because of our show.?

Isn?t JC boyfriend material? ?I?m still in the recovery stage after my last relationship. I just want to concentrate on my work and my thesis.?
