MANILA, Philippines - The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has rescheduled basketball games further to Friday amid recovery efforts after the devastation caused by tropical storm Ondoy.
Games originally scheduled Wednesday are San Beda versus Letran at 4p.m. and Mapua versus Angeles University Foundation at 2p.m.
In the juniors action, Mapua-Malayan High School will likewise face AUF while San Beda is also scheduled to play Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
San Beda is looking to spoil Letran?s bid for an eliminations sweep. The Squires are holding on to a 17-0 slate while the Red Cubs are in solo second with 15-1.
The Red Cubs are looking to avenge their lone defeat from the Squires, who won 99-84 in their first round meeting last July 24.
The NCAA earlier moved the cheerleading competition to Oct. 21.
