Gay fest open
Out & UP, the Pinoy Queer Film Fest, is calling for entries.
The competitive festival, to be held in UP Diliman from Nov. 23 to Dec. 1, is presented by the UP Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts, the UP Diliman Information Office, the UP College of Mass Communication and the UP Film Institute.

KC Concepcion twitted that she and other ?Register and Vote? volunteers packed relief goods for Bgy. Sta. Ana, Pateros residents.
?We have 1,300 [packs of] relief goods so far,? KC wrote. ?And 500 burgers from McDo, 500 homemade tuna and egg sandwiches, 500 packed adobo with rice.?
She requested for necessities like ?toothbrushes, toothpaste and mouthwash.?

Sympathies from Akon
Hip hop/R&B superstar Akon extends his sympathies to his Filipino fans, in the wake of ?Ondoy.?
Amid a busy touring schedule, Akon said he was deeply saddened upon finding out about the tragedy. ?My heart grieves for all Filipinos who lost their lives, their loved ones and their cherished possessions,? he laments.
