What Lucky told Lloydie

“LUIS IS A PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWS how to separate his personal concerns from work. Despite problems with his love life, he has managed to do his job well,” said actor John Lloyd Cruz of his “In My Life” co-star Luis Manzano, who has reportedly broken up with girlfriend Angel Locsin.

John Lloyd admitted that Luis “opened up” to him about the relationship while they were promoting the Olivia Lamasan film in the United States and Canada.

“But I can’t share with you anything that he said because the conversation was strictly between friends,” he told Inquirer Entertainment during a media gathering for Choco Lava, a chocolate-flavored drink that he endorses.

John Lloyd, Luis and Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos were away for a month to attend the movie’s gala screenings in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New Jersey in the US, as well as in Calgary and Toronto in Canada.

“The screenings we attended were 90 percent sold out. They were no different from the gala screenings we have here in Manila. People there also go wild when they see their favorite actors. I must say I didn’t expect that kind of reaction from Pinoys abroad.”
