MANILA, Philippines?Sharon Cuneta as Cory Aquino?if Ate Vi?s 2010 schedule gets too hectic. Aga Muhlach as Ninoy. These actors, Kris Aquino believes, will be perfect for the planned biopic about her parents.

At a press conference on Tuesday for 555 Tuna, which she endorses, Kris announced that Star Cinema (of her home studio, ABS-CBN) is negotiating with a US-based firm for a co-production deal. She and her four siblings would like a woman to direct the movie, Kris added. Her top three picks: Olivia Lamasan, Laurice Guillen, Marilou Diaz-Abaya.

ABS-CBN senior vice president Malou Santos earlier said the network was eyeing Batangas governor Vilma Santos for the role of the adult Cory; Piolo Pascual, the young Ninoy.

?I can?t think of anyone but Ate Vi to play mom from the time dad was assassinated, up till her death,? said Kris. But if Vilma?s time would be compromised by the 2010 elections, Kris would like Sharon Cuneta to do it, especially because ?you have to picture the [characer] addressing the US Congress.?

Why not do it herself? Kris replied: ?I?m not anything like mom. She was soft-spoken? hindi ko kaya. I?m not that good an actress.?

Picking the actor for the adult Ninoy is also tough, Kris told Inquirer. ?The [period covered] is from dad?s incarceration at 39, up to his assassination at 50. Kailangan magaling talaga?and Aga is one of the most talented actors of his generation.?

She added: ?My sisters had fun picking the actors who might portray us. Ate Ballsy likes Jodi (Sta. Maria); Pinky wants Angelica Panganiban. Noy is okay with John Lloyd (Cruz). We?re still thinking who will play Viel, but Bianca Gonzalez is okay. Ako, si Kim Chiu.? (She later changed her mind and named Anne Curtis).

?Everything will be up to ABS-CBN, of course,? Kris said. ?I don?t know when production will start. But if it?s a film about my parents, it has to be of epic proportions.?
