MANILA, Philippines—The Asian Eye Institute (AEI) has partnered with me as a photographer cum reading advocate in a photo exhibit at Rockwell Center’s Power Plant Mall from Nov. 6 to 8 that aims to heighten awareness for healthy vision and reading.
The show includes 21 portraits of AEI patrons who practice good reading habits and encourage the public to do the same.
Highlights of the three-day photo exhibit include read-along sessions with Tintin Bersola-Babao and “Batibot’s” Kuya Tony aka Rodolfo Yanza, a lecture on Basic Portraiture, and eye-drop sampling. There will be drop boxes for donations to NBDB’s “Keep Kids Reading, Give Books” project for the benefit of public schools affected by Storm “Ondoy,” as well as the “Eyeglasses for Ifugao” project of the Ophthalmological Foundation of the Philippines.
On exhibit are framed photos of Vice President Noli de Castro, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Lopez, Mr. and Mrs. Manolo Lopez, Helena Benitez, Senators Jovito Salonga and Juan Ponce Enrile, former Chief Justice Andres Narvasa, Jose Cuisia Jr., Raul Concepcion, Rep. Cynthia Villar, Vicky Garchitorena, Helen Gamboa, Gina Lopez, Raffy Alunan, Barbara Margallos, Charo Santos, Gloria Angara, Nedy Tantoco and daughter Catherine, Rep.
