MANILA, Philippines ? Ju.D Lao wears many hats ? she?s a television personality, an author, and a food innovator. She and her daughter Jamie love to work together in the kitchen.

This year, Ju.D and Jamie have created gourmet cookies for students at affordable prices. The Sweet Petites come in five variations ? Dark Chocolate Chip Ginger, Ichigo San (Mr. Strawberry), White Chocolate with Apricot and Cranberry, New York Peppermint, and Prune & White Chocolate.

Savory Petites have two versions: Mushroom Parmesan Petites and Four-Herb Petites, which are for those who prefer cookies that aren?t sweet. All products have no preservatives, just natural ingredients.

You can get Ju.D?s Sweet and Savory Petites, excellent fruitcakes, the Chewy Chewkies and Ginger Cookies at Rockwell Powerplant every weekend this month, or call 633-1188 or 633-0260.

Benefits

Ju.D?s cookies are perfect for students who appreciate an original twist ? with health benefits to boot: Apricot & White Chocolate is high in fiber. Cranberry & White Chocolate contains vitamin C and antioxidants. Prune & White Chocolate has fiber, chromium, potassium and iron for strong cells, and antioxidants for beautiful skin and hair. It?s also an appetite suppressant.
