Which places have you visited as UN ambassador?

The first was Pikit, Cotabato. Then I joined a mission in Balindong and Marawi in Mindanao. We also went to Lanao del Sur and Lanao del Norte.

We were in Mindanao when we heard news that the World Food Programme office in Pakistan was bombed and that one of those killed was a Filipina. The work is certainly risky, pero hindi ko na lang iniisip.

I read Angelina Jolie?s book ?Notes from My Travel.? One chapter recalls how her flight back to Los Angeles from Africa was canceled. She said this was the least of everyone?s worries while in Africa. That?s how I feel. Ayaw ko rin maging abala sa ibang tao.

She works for a different UN department, the UNHCR (High Commissioner for Refugees). She?s an inspiration. I can relate to the things she wrote in her book. However, the person I really look up to is Drew Barrymore. We work for the same agency and do the same things. More than anyone in other agencies in the UN, I follow Drew?s work closely.
