MANILA, Philippines? GMA 7 Senior Vice President for Entertainment Wilma Galvante joins top Asian broadcasters for the annual Asia TV Forum in Singapore from Dec. 2 to 4.

Galvante will speak on ?Formats in Asia.? GMA 7 has successfully produced adaptations of popular foreign drama titles like ?Marimar,? ?Kim Sam Soon? and ?Zorro?; and game shows like ?Hole in the Wall? and ?Family Feud.? Local komiks classics will also serve as case studies as Galvante presents to her foreign counterparts how the production of ?Darna,? ?Dyesebel? and ?Joaquin Bordado? contributed to her network?s stellar prime time standing.

Judge, too
At the same conference, Galvante will serve as judge in ?TVA+ Format Superpitch,? a competition where contestants get to pitch their television ideas to business decision makers across the region. The winner will get a cash prize and the opportunity to exhibit at Asia TV Forum 2010.

The Kapuso exec will also represent her network at the annual Asian TV Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony. This year, GMA 7 programs that made it to the short list of contenders include ?Mel and Joey? and ?Survivor,? and comedy artist Michael V in the performance category. ?The Pursuit of Style: A Young Designer?s Special,? a QTV television special, is also nominated.
