WISH LIST
May all these hopes and wishes come true

I hope our countrymen will choose wisely in next year?s election. It?s a crucial time for the country. The biggest bloc in the voting population is the youth. It?s important to hear their voices. More than anything else, our country needs hope and change.

We need a leader who can bring out the best in all of us. That?s why my advocacies Ayos Na and Yes Pinoy Foundation focus on the youth and education. I have a ?Project Aklat? campaign with National Bookstore. This Christmas season, for only P30, you can give the gift of reading to an underprivileged child or a library that was damaged by the recent storms.

Luke Mejares

I hope that Filipinos will continue to support the records of local artists. It?s the only way for the industry to survive. We?re No. 1 in the world when it comes to boxing, sana sa music rin.

Willie Nepomuceno

I have the same wish I had when I first joined the industry some 30 years or so ago. It?s something basic and simple: I wish anchors would stop using street language and correct their syllabic stresses when doing the news. Stop inventing words that are non-Filipino. The public tends to adopt what it hears... I suggest that they read and take to heart Nestor Torre?s columns for a start. That will make my Christmas bright.

Rhian Ramos

All I want for the country right now is healing and unity. The past storms, no matter how horrible they were, somehow brought our countrymen together and inspired all of us. I just wish that sense of unity will continue. More than anything else, let?s all help each other recover and move on after all the tragedies and calamities that befell us.

Vilma Santos

This holiday season, my wish for my family is to remain intact and blessed all year round. For the entertainment industry, my hope is for producers to have the resources to create more films and more jobs for movie workers. My prayer for the country is for it to be gifted with unity, inspiration and love. After all the calamities and tragedies, our people need healing and hope.

Ogie Alcasid

I wish that my parents continue to enjoy good health, that my children remain as loving as they are, and that all the members of the family be granted the desires of their hearts. I also wish for the whole entertainment industry to flourish and that artistic expression will never be compromised. I continue to pray for our beloved country, that people may imbibe the ideals of positivism. We should really try to be united. As our battle cry in the Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit: ?Kaya natin ito, sama-sama tayo! [We can do it, we?re together!]?
