According to the grapevine, Top Newscaster is being lured to join Manny Pangilinan?s network?a scuttlebutt that was swiftly denied by a TV5 insider.

A mole surmises that TN is encouraging, if not spreading, the rumor.

Gossip of TV5?s head-hunting, spy explained, could sweeten TN?s deal with current home network.

It?s contract re-negotiation time and TN is allegedly using TV5 as bargaining leverage.

Names on TV5?s list

Yup, TN isn?t on TV5?s wish list.

However, the names on that list seem to have ?connections? with other stations, especially ABS-CBN.

According to a source, the people that TV5 is eyeing are ?involved? with media personalities currently identified with the Kapamilya network.

Missing 20 minutes

At a recent preview of ?Wapakman,? a movie insider admitted that 20 minutes of footage were cut to ?tighten? the super-hero flick starring Manny Pacquiao.

As luck would have it, a huge chunk of the scenes that ended up on the cutting-room floor belonged to controversial co-star Krista Ranillo who was linked to Pacquiao in the gossip columns last month.

It?s just coincidence, an insider insisted.

Shirts and cash from Pacman

During the MMFF parade, Pacquiao reportedly gave away T-shirts with P1,500 and P500 cash to fans.

But his film was a tail-ender in the fest, making only P1 million on its first weekend. According to reports, Pacman?s film was pulled out of some theaters on the third day of the fest.
