MANILA, Philippines--GUESS WHO?S REPORTEDLY JOINING TV5?s news team?

According to the grapevine, Top Newscaster is being lured to join Manny Pangilinan?s network?a scuttlebutt that was swiftly denied by a TV5 insider.

A mole surmises that TN is encouraging, if not spreading, the rumor.

Gossip of TV5?s head-hunting, spy explained, could sweeten TN?s deal with current home network.

It?s contract re-negotiation time and TN is allegedly using TV5 as bargaining leverage.

Names on TV5?s list

Yup, TN isn?t on TV5?s wish list.

However, the names on that list seem to have ?connections? with other stations, especially ABS-CBN.

According to a source, the people that TV5 is eyeing are ?involved? with media personalities currently identified with the Kapamilya network.

Missing 20 minutes

At a recent preview of ?Wapakman,? a movie insider admitted that 20 minutes of footage were cut to ?tighten? the super-hero flick starring Manny Pacquiao.

As luck would have it, a huge chunk of the scenes that ended up on the cutting-room floor belonged to controversial co-star Krista Ranillo who was linked to Pacquiao in the gossip columns last month.

It?s just coincidence, an insider insisted.

Shirts and cash from Pacman

During the MMFF parade, Pacquiao reportedly gave away T-shirts with P1,500 and P500 cash to fans.

But his film was a tail-ender in the fest, making only P1 million on its first weekend. According to reports, Pacman?s film was pulled out of some theaters on the third day of the fest.

?Share the Happy?

Celebrities Toni Gonzaga, Josef Elizalde and Love Aover took time out from their busy holiday schedules to launch ?Share the Happy??a texting campaign spearheaded by Enervon to help some 300 street children under the care of the Virlanie Foundation, one of the largest child-caring organizations in the country.

Top of the talk shows

For those who missed last weekend?s gabfests on TV. (And why we are moved, if we are moved.)

Amalia Fuentes on cancer-stricken daughter Liezl Martinez?s on-air apology that she wasn?t an ?ideal daughter?:

?I never asked for an ideal daughter because a mother is always prepared to forgive and forget, just as I have forgiven her for all the embarrassment that I have suffered on her account.?

Princess Punzalan on her life in the United States:

?Ang sarap ng buhay sa Amerika na kasama mo yung asawa mo, tapos kayong dalawa lang, walang komplikasyon. Tahimik ang buhay.?

Jinkee Pacquiao on the contents of a recent tell-all magazine interview:

?Sana matapos na, kasi ang hirap na. Paulit-ulit ? Lahat naman ng sinabi ko sincere ako. Kasi mahirap naman yung magsasalita ako na hindi totoo.? (Please, tapusin na talaga itoh.)

Jinkee on her talks with Manny Pacquiao regarding intrigues:

?Ang importante pinag-usapan namin ang problema at nagkaintindihan kami ? Hindi naman ako perfect wife so meron din akong pagkukulang or merong maling ginawa. Pareho kami. Napag-usapan namin ang aming mga mistakes at differences.?

Lovi Poe on rumors that she reconciled with ex-boyfriend Jolo Revilla:

?No, hindi kami nagkabalikan. Although we are friends and anything can happen. Pero for now, bata pa naman ako and dami ko rin natututunan. So I have to learn from my mistakes.?
