Dollywood
Lovi returns Jolo’s present–a car

A COMMON FRIEND OF JOLO Revilla?s and mine told me that Lovi Poe returned the car Jolo gave her last Christmas. ?He?s hurting. Jolo still loves Lovi,? my source said. ?He just hopes hindi totoo ang mga balitang lumalabas about Lovi.?

Jolo?s Facebook status reads: ?Need to face my fears even if it hurts.? A few minutes after he posted that, Lovi tagged him in a picture which appeared on Jolo?s FB wall, but Jolo deleted the pic immediately. Was Lovi trying to add insult to injury? Did Lovi send back the car because her heart is now a full tank, courtesy of Ronald Singson?

My unsolicited advice to my kinakapatid Jolo: Love is never wasted. If it is not reciprocated, it flows back to soften and purify the heart.

I had so much fun at the pilot telecast of my radio program with my dear colleague Ambet Nabus, ?Chizmax? on DZMM Teleradyo (Sundays, 11 a.m. to 12 noon). The lunar-powered creature in me suddenly turned into a morning person.

Being in the radio booth where my mom had her last radio show made me miss her more. But I know she was coaching me all the way. Radio was my mom?s first love. She was the very first lady supervisor of an AM station.

I can?t help but smile when I remember my mom?s anecdote about her struggling years in radio. When she went to audition, she was so thrilled to sit on the DJ?s chair, she told friends and relatives to tune in, even if she was only assigned to do the time check.

I will go ?on the air? with all the lessons from my ma in my heart. What a blessing for ?Dollywood? to be on TV (daily on Cignal TV?s Viva Cinema Channel?s ?Stop Talk & Listen?), print, and now, radio!

Thanks to Ambet, the DZMM family, especially Peter Musngi, Neil Badion, Shiela Tubalinal, Franco Reyes and Somewell Gadiane for making me feel at home. Most of all, thank you Lord for giving me the words and the rhythm!

Ambet and I will try our darndest to make ?Chizmax? an EARessistible Sunday delight!

I?m sure you?re curious to know what some celeb couples gave each other for Christmas. With all the love they got, they might as well say in unison: Christmas is us!

Kim Chui and Gerald Anderson: ?I gave him an LV wallet. He gave me a pink bike.?

Korina Sanchez-Roxas and Mar Roxas: ?Mar?s gift to me was a trip to Paris and watching fireworks from the Eiffel Tower. My gift to him would have been a surprise when we got to Paris. As plans changed and circumstances required, we had to postpone our Parisian holiday. That means we just exchanged hugs and kisses.?

Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid: ?I gave Reg a Chanel bag and she gave me equipment for my recording studio.?

Lucy Torres-Gomez and Richard Gomez: ?We don?t give each other gifts during Christmas. But throughout the year we always surprise each other with thoughtful little presents.?

Priscilla Meirelles and John Estrada: ?She gave me golf clubs and I gave her a Mac Book Pro.?

Tintin Bersola-Babao and Julius Babao: ?We gave each other CDs and DVDs for our collection, which we bought during our holiday break in Hong Kong?a family pre-Christmas tradition.?

Mariel Rodriguez and Zanjoe Marudo: ?I gave him an iPod-touch. Secret na lang ?yung gift niya sa akin (laughs).?

Here?s A-1 director Brillante Mendoza?s wish for the industry this 2010: ?My wish is for major networks and mainstream actors to be more responsible and committed not only with their ratings and craft but with their audience as well, by doing relevant projects to uplift the Filipino appreciation, understanding and acceptance of alternative cinema.? May the wish of the Wiz have its day!

Cristine Reyes, Vic Sotto?s ?Ang Darling Kong Aswang? leading lady, recalls a funny off-cam moment. ?Bosing got so surprised when I scratched his neck with my prosthetic nails,? she says, ?with a matching scream, like a cat?s.?

Now Bosing, Cristine and the rest of the cast can scream for joy with the success of their Metro Manila Film Festival entry.
