MANILA, Philippines? From the original 14, it?s down to eight aspirants on the GMA 7 reality talent search ?Starstruck V.? Tonight, another one will go.

The six eliminated so far are: Fianca Cruz, Rye Burgos, Zeryl Lim, Sef Cadayona, Princess Snell and Piero Vergara.

Last Sunday, Rocco Nacino and Sarah Lahbati were saved by Council members Iza Calzado, Floy Quintos and Lolit Solis, who invoked their Factor 2 prerogative ? a one-time power to save contestants from the chopping block.

Thus tonight Rocco and Sarah join Rox Montealegre, Diva Montealba, Nina Kodaka, Ian Batherson and Steven Silva.

Past winners who became familiar faces in the industry include Mark Herras, Jennylyn Mercado, Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal and the late Marky Cielo.

?Starstruck V? co-host Carla Abellana said this year?s contestants have definitely gone through the wringer. ?My advice for the contestants is to never give up, to dream big and strive hard,? she said.

Another co-host, Dennis Trillo, echoed Carla?s tip to the contestants. ?Believe in yourself so other people will believe in you.?

If they were contestants, Carla and Dennis said, they would pull out all the stops. Carla explained: ?No matter how difficult the challenges... if you are in a competition like this, you should aim to win.?

Grand finals are set Feb. 21.
