MANILA, Philippines?Young actress Melissa Ricks is categorically denying the rumor that she ran away from home after an argument with her mom on account of her rumored boyfriend, actor Jake Cuenca.
?I was at my best friend Kitkat?s house the whole time. I asked my mom?s permission,? Melissa told reporters during the recent launch of the teleserye ?Tanging Yaman,? which she is a part of.
Melissa said that while her parents approve of her accepting suitors, they are still very protective. ?My mom knows everything that happens to me. When I decide to have a boyfriend, I will tell her and dad, to first ask for their approval? she said.
She also denied that her parents frowns upon her closeness with Jake, 22, one of her suitors. ?They need not worry,? Melissa said. ?Jake and I are not in a relationship.?
