Are Edu, Pinky still a couple?

MANILA, Philippines--AN ABS-CBN NEWS & PUBLIC AFFAIRS insider insists there is no truth to the buzz that Ted Failon and Pinky Webb are now a couple.

“I think Edu Manzano and Pinky Webb are still together but they are just keeping it hush-hush so Pinky won’t have to go on leave because of Edu’s candidacy. The rumor about Ted and Pinky is just meant to drum up their radio program.”

I texted Edu about this. His reply: “Hi Dolly. Out of the profound respect I have for Pinky, her family, and the network, I would rather not comment on that. I hope you and IC are doing well.”

No can do, Edu?

At the taping of “Bandaoke,” Carlene Aguilar mistook “Starstruck” avenger Zeryll Lim for Cristine Reyes. She had to ask the show’s staff if it was Cristine or not. She was relieved to find out that it was just Cristine’s look-alike. “Kinabahan naman ako bigla,” she uttered.

Their tiff over Dennis Trillo happened many controversies ago but I guess the sight of Cristine would, indeed, open old wounds.

Sometimes we think things are over but we don’t feel that it’s really finished. When our heart and mind don’t speak the same language, we badly need an interpreter.

I heard that my favorite late-night weekend newscaster will soon be out of a program. Many of my friends have often wondered why the Kapuso network has not given this pretty anchor the kind of break she deserves. Even relegated to a 12:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday slot, she has actually inspired a number of fans to form not one, but two clubs.

It’s always been a mystery to me why GMA 7 has kept her on the sidelines for so long. Two of my friends from rival networks actually lit up when they heard this news. It’s obvious that both channels would be more than willing to give this anchor better exposure, given a chance.

Jericho Rosales and KC Concepcion had a story conference for their upcoming project. Things are going well for Echo because he has loosened up and is no longer the “rebel” as he used to be called on ABS-CBN.

His faith and determination to pursue his love for music have transformed him into a new man. He met Mother Lily and Roselle Monteverde who want to produce a movie for him. The former rebel now has all the reasons to revel!

Keanna Reeves opened a resto/bar, K.E.Y.J. Place, in Xavierville Ave. Will it be the key to success for the former PBB champion?

A singer-actress vents her angst about her super strict mom by screaming in the dressing room—which stuns her co-stars. So much for vocalizing to hit the high notes. What she needs is to voice out her displeasure so things between her and her mom won’t end on a sour note.

The cast and crew of a defunct teleserye are pissed at one of the lead actresses of the soap. The show folded abruptly because she no longer wanted to report for taping. The drama off-cam was more intense than on-cam.
