The creative team n behind ?Casablanca,? a photo contest entry featuring Filipino actors Maricar Reyes as Ilsa Lund and Jericho Rosales as Rick Blaine in the classic 1942 film of the same title, bagged the Gold award and a cash prize of P150,000 in this year?s ?Tribute to the Oscars? held Thursday night at the Ayala Museum in Makati.

?It was the obvious winner,? said Cinema One channel head Ronald Arguelles, one of six contest jurors. ?It received the highest number of votes. The picture is very iconic of the images in ?Casablanca.? The winning team consists of photographer Ria Regino, stylist Kat Cruz and makeup artist RB Chanco.

The photo tilt, which centered on dynamic duos and memorable couples, and was hosted by Velvet Channel, is one of the activities that the network lined up to promote its live telecast of the 82nd Academy Awards today at 6:30 a.m.

Photographer Kai Huang, stylist Myrrh Lao To and makeup artist Angie Cruz bagged the Silver Award and a cash prize of P100,000 for ?Bonnie and Clyde,? featuring Shaina Magdayao and Christian Bautista.

The Bronze Award and P50,000 cash prize went to photographer Pat Dy, stylist Lotho and makeup artist Grace Deang, for the entry ?Titanic,? with Erich Gonzales as Rose DeWitt Bukater and Enchong Dee as Jack Dawson.

Six special awards were given: Chanco won the Best Transformation award for ?Casablanca.? Stylist Erica Paredes bagged Best Costume for ?Forrest Gump,? featuring Albert Martinez and Mikee Carreon.

Dy, who worked on the entry ?Titanic,? was named Photographer of the Year. Best Use of Special Effects was given to Miguel Miranda, Franco Saycon and Ricci Chan for ?The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King,? featuring Melissa Ricks and Raimund Marasigan.

Celebrity models Gonzales and Dee bagged the Perfect Pair award. Zanjoe Marudo the bagged Bagay na Bagay for his portrayal of the character Vincent Vega in the entry ?Pulp Fiction,? and Magdayao for ?Bonnie and Clyde.?

Other jury members were photographer Wig Tysman, music video and commercial director Sid Maderazo, filmmaker Chito Roño, film and music video director Robert Quebral and fashion director Robby Carmona.

Other competing teams were ?West Side Story,? with Billy Crawford and girlfriend Nikki Gil; ?Memoirs of a Geisha,? with Kim Chiu and Marc Nelson; ?Inglourious Basterds,? with Gerald Anderson and Ali Klaus;

?Phantom of the Opera,? with KC Montero and Solenn Huessaff; ?Out of Africa,? with Bettina Carlos and Brent Javier; ?Brokeback Mountain,? with Isabelle Daza Bea Soriano;

?Gone with the Wind,? with Maja Salvador and Jake Cuenca; ?Dirty Dancing,? with Charina Sarte and Rayver Cruz.
