On April 11, KC replaced Ruffa Gutierrez, who is now one of the hosts of the new gossip show ?Paparazzi? on TV5.

KC wore a lacy Dolce & Gabbana mini-dress and a pair of pink Chutz pumps on her first day of work.

?Tita Kris (Aquino, one of KC?s co-hosts) told me to wear colorful dresses because she will be wearing black until August,? KC told the Inquirer during our visit to Studio 4, where the show is aired live every Sunday, inside the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City.

Backstage, the newbie received hosting tips from her Tito Boy. ?I told her, ?You shouldn?t giggle too much. When you interview, you should listen to your interviewee intently. Don?t memorize. Follow your instinct,?? Boy said during a gap on the two-hour program.

During breaks, KC sat quietly in one corner. She drank from a bottle of Evian water and reviewed her script. Intermittently, she chatted with Kris, who wore a black Martin Bautista gown.

Prior to ?The Buzz,? KC was a VJ for MTV Philippines. When she first joined ABS-CBN in 2007, she hosted a TV special titled ?KC: From Paris to Pinas.?

?It feels like coming home,? said the daughter of actress Sharon Cuneta and actor Gabby Concepcion.

?Backstage, kabado ako. I watched her through the TV monitor and I felt so proud,? Boy added. ?Mahaba ang lalakbayin ni KC [as a host].?

According to creative managers Ian Reyno and Romer Gonzales, the show now sports a ?fresher look? with the addition of KC and the introduction of several new segments.
