Dollywood
2 women in Buboy’s life are ‘text mates’

I IMMENSELY enjoyed my one-on-one interview with my BFF Cesar Montano for my ?Hello Dolly? segment in our Sunday afternoon talk show ?Paparazzi.? Since Buboy and I are super-close, we just let it all hang out as if there was no camera around.
He just had one request before the shoot. And that?s not to ask him anything about his late son Angelo because he was interviewed about the tragic death three times already on national TV.

That?s understandable. Besides, I respect his grief. I could sense that he?s in the process of moving on without exactly leaving all the wonderful memories behind. It?s my only wish that Buboy gets to the point where his tears have run dry but thoughts of Angelo still overflow.

Losing his gubernatorial bid is nothing compared to the loss of his son. To ease the pain, his other son Diego (who?s based in Australia with his mom Teresa Loyzaga) is staying with him and Sunshine.

Buboy said Shine and Teresa are text mates. I teased him that they must be comparing notes about him.

Does Buboy now have an election phobia after two losses? ?I?m still open to anything,? he said. ?Umiyak ang puso ko [My heart cried] when I lost but it won?t stop me from pursuing my vision for Bohol. Di naman sumama loob ko [I wasn?t hurt] because I know I gave it my all. Parang may inalok ako ng tubig pero ayaw naman uminom so sa iba ko na lang i-offer yung tubig [It?s like I offered water but no one wanted to drink it so I?ll just offer it elsewhere]. That?s how I think of my loss para di ako masyadong ma-down [so that it won?t be much of a letdown].?

Will he resume hosting ?Singing Bee?? ?Everything?s up in the air,? he said. ?I asked ABS-CBN what plans they have for me. I had a meeting with TV5. They are offering me two movies and two shows. I?m weighing my options. But even if I remain a Kapamilya, I will still do the two movies with the Kapatid network since I don?t have a movie contract with Star Cinema anyway.?

After all the storms, Buboy is now seeing rainbows. In my heart and the hearts of everyone who loves him, Buboy will always be our winner. No need for PCOS machines because our love for Buboy is unquantifiable.

Mark Herras and a former ?Starstruck? contender/model, Jem Milton, were spotted at Camelot hotel a few weeks ago. Or was it just a case of mistaken identity?

Someone privy to GMA 7?s 2009 ?Are You the Next Big Star?? Big Winner Francesca Farr insists that her prizes, a brand new house and P1 million, have not been given to her yet. Gone with the win?

Amy Perez and I fondly call each other MJ twin because we both are fanatics of the late King of Pop.

It turns out that it?s not the only common denominator we have. When my Facebook status read, ?I?m overjoyed that my ultimate crush, Bongbong, won at the polls. Bobonggang bongga ang Senado with Bongbong [The Senate will be a blast with Bongbong],? Amy wrote a reaction on my FB wall. It goes, ?Pareho din pala tayo ng [We both have the same] crush.?

It would be a cute surprise if Bongbong would walk in as Amy hosts her top-rating TV show ?Face to Face.? His presence would surely calm Amy down when tension runs high between her warring guests.

The ?Face to Face? Queen will be inspired by the face of her crush.

The estranged lady manager of this male athlete is amazed. After all the badmouthing she got (and continues to get) from her former ward, she noticed that whenever he goes out or socializes, he wears most of the designer items and clothing she bought for him during their happy years.

?Isn?t it that if you hate a person so much you would not want to be reminded of that person? You either return or burn everything she gave you. So I don?t get it why he still wears every piece of clothing I ever gave him from head to toe. Baka walang pambili [He might not have any money]!? she laments.

Incidentally, the lady manager is hosting her very own TV show soon on a leading network and was recently signed as the endorser of a popular brand. Sweet love turns into sweet revenge!

Kudos to my good friend Bo Cerrudo. His concert ?Words And Music? at Teatrino Greenhills opened last Wednesday to a full house and ended in a standing ovation. The show, directed by Freddie Santos, is definitely a must-see (and hear), as Bo performed songs we love to hear, but seldom get the chance to do so.

From Paul Anka to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Rogers and Hammerstein, and from Michael Jackson to Henry Mancini, it was indeed a treat for all ages. It was quite obvious that Bo?s audience missed hearing his super powerful voice. You must go and experience this great show for yourself on June 2, 9 and 16. (For tickets, call 722-4532 loc 116. ) C?est BOn!

The captivating tandem of Geoff Eigenmann and Carla Abellana breathes new life to another Pinoy classic as they star in GMA 7?s Sinenovela, ?Basahang Ginto? (premieres today on Dramarama Sa Hapon after ?Gumapang Ka Sa Lusak?). Based on the 1951 graphic novel of Mars Ravelo, it is about the astonishing transformation of a simple housemaid into a high-powered socialite.

Carla will assume the role of Orang originally played by Alicia Vergel while Geoff will reprise the character of Danny previously portrayed by the late Pancho Magalona. Will ?Basahang Ginto? turn in gold for the Kapuso network?
