?YOU ALL watched me grow up,? said KC Concepcion, host of the new Kapamilya morning show, ?Simply KC.?

KC, daughter of actors Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta, likens her life to that of Truman Burbank?s, who lives all his life in front of the camera, in Peter Weir?s 1988 film, ?The Truman Show.?

It?s been only over a month since she was introduced as a new host on ?The Buzz.? Already, some people doubt that the 25-year-old singer-actress deserves the break.

Do you know that some people ask why the show was given to you, and not to more experienced hosts like Toni Gonzaga?

I guess only a few know that I started hosting at 17, as an MTV VJ. I did that for two years, hosting six shows.

Who do you wish to feature in future episodes?

Tito Boy (Abunda) and Tita Kris (Aquino). Of course, I?d also like to feature Papa and Mama, but not together. I don?t have five hours (laughs). I?d also like to invite my friends Toni and Angel Locsin. I will try... not to invite political figures. We are set to visit Tondo to talk with jejemons and jejemon busters. We will also shop in Baclaran. I think I?ll go with the suggestion of Ma?am Charo (Santos-Concio, network president) to feature people who make our lives easier ? gardeners, drivers, laundry women and househelp.

How about a TV-film director like Lino Cayetano, or a singer like Rico Blanco?

I don?t mind inviting Lino (her ex-boyfriend). Wala namang issue do?n [There?s no issue there].

What has your mom got to say about the show?

She?s very excited. She used to tell me she wished I had a morning show instead of ?The Buzz.? After over a month on ?The Buzz,? this show came. This is really like an on-the-job training.

What?s your contribution to the creation of the show?

I sit down with the production team from time to time. I?m open to seeing the real side of creating a show. The team is very open to my ideas.

How much of you goes into the show?

A lot of me. I?m learning through my guests. It was my first time to go biking on that trail in San Mateo, Rizal, with John Lloyd Cruz. Echo (Jericho Rosales) brought me to the Concepcion wet market in Marikina. It was my first time to clean bangus. Overall, I don?t need to talk about me so much.
