Ai Ai De Las Alas attended her first class at the University of the Philippines in Diliman on June 21, where she is taking a four-year course at the National College for Public Administration and Governance.

Other show biz celebrities who earned certificates from this college are Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos and incoming Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista.

Ai Ai was quick to clarify that she had no intention of seeking public office any time soon. ?I just want to keep my mind busy with something other than my job,? she told Inquirer on Thursday.

She was obviously proud of making it to UP. She took up Mass Communications at the Far Eastern University earlier, she said, because she was afraid of taking the UP College Admission Test.

Ai Ai said her kids Sancho, Nicolo and Sophia are very supportive of this undertaking. ?One of them said, ?Mommy that?s so cool,? Ang sabi naman nung isa, ?bongga!??

Martina Aileen de las Alas?that?s her?is in a class of 20. ?I?m the only one from show biz.? She already has a crush on a classmate, an Army serviceman who ?looks like Ariel Rivera. He?s so handsome!?

Even while she?s in school, the work doesn?t stop for this hard-working mom. Best known for her ?Tanging Ina? tag, she always says that everything she does is for her kids. Her newest TV assignment is ABS-CBN?s ?M3? sitcom, and her latest endorsement deal is for the painkiller Naproxen Sodium.
