Controversial Celeb pulls loooong strings

THIS EARLY in the game, the camp of Controversial Celebrity has realized the perks of power.

CC?s handlers allegedly pulled strings to swing the tide in favor of CC?s project?which could?ve languished in limbo, but which somehow pulled through a competition.

CC?s handlers seem bent on impressing their master.

Sexy butt

What?s the sexiest part of his body? ?Starstruck? runner-up Rocco Nacino says it?s his butt. He explains: ?My female friends like slapping it. They say it?s fleshy and firm.? Rocco is one of S Magazine?s featured young stars in this month?s issue.

Andi Eigenmann is another. She thinks she?s sexy, she quips, ?I guess because I am happy the way I am. Even before, when I was heavier, I wasn?t shy about my weight.? Good answer.

Leaving ?The Office?

LOS ANGELES?Steve Carell is tendering his resignation as the egotistical boss Michael Scott of ?The Office,? and leaving the hit TV comedy show next year.

Carell told Us Magazine that he would be leaving paper company Dunder Mifflin at the end of the coming TV season, in May 2011.

?Yes, it will be my last,? Carell, 47, told UsMagazine.com while promoting ?Despicable Me,? his new movie. ?It?s the last [season] on my contract, and I want to honor my contract.?

The actor, who won a Golden Globe award for his ?The Office? role, also said he wanted to spend more time with his wife and two young children.
Carell began playing Michael Scott in 2005 when the US version of the hit British ?mockumentary? created by Ricky Gervais was launched on NBC.

NBC had no comment on Carell?s remarks. However, the star?s departure may not mean the end of ?The Office.? Executives told reporters in May that the network regarded the show as an ensemble piece and that producers were prepared for a possible departure by Carell.
The actor told Us Magazine he would be sad to leave the comedy series. ?These are some of my best friends in the world. But it will be good?it will be good for everybody,? he said. Reuters

Rob Lowe memoir

LOS ANGELES?Rob Lowe is taking on a new role: author.
Publisher Henry Holt and Co. says it will release the 46-year-old actor?s memoir in May 2011.

Lowe is handling the writing duties on ?Stories I Only Tell My Friends,? which details his experiences as an actor and father.
Holt president Stephen Rubin described Lowe?s book as ?a mid-career meditation on his four decades as an actor.?

Lowe became a teen heartthrob in 1983?s ?The Outsiders? and has since amassed more than three dozen film credits.

He is a star of the ABC drama ?Brothers & Sisters? and recently appeared on the NBC sitcom ?Parks and Recreation.? AP

Faith too late

LONDON?Converting to Islam would have saved the life of pop legend Michael Jackson, his brother Jermaine said in an interview aired Thursday on BBC.

Speaking ahead of the first anniversary Friday of the death of the ?King of Pop? at the age of 50 from a prescription drug overdose, he told BBC World Service radio that his brother should have left the United States.

?I felt that if Michael would have embraced Islam he would still be here today,? Jermaine Jackson, who is a Muslim, said.
?He was studying. He was reading a lot of books [that] I brought from Saudi Arabia. I was the one who originally put him in Bahrain because I wanted him to get out of America because it was having a cherry-picking time on my brother.?

Michael was not against converting, said Jermaine. ?All of his security became Muslims because he trusted Islam. ?

The year since Jackson?s sudden death last year had been ?tough,? he said. ?There aren?t words to describe the feeling. We are just learning to live with it. We?ll never get over it.? AFP

Megan, married!

LOS ANGELES??Transformers? actress Megan Fox married her longtime boyfriend, former ?Beverly Hills, 90210? star Brian Austin Green, in Hawaii late last week, TMZ.com reported on Monday.
The pair tied the knot during a small ceremony at the Four Seasons Resort on the state?s Big Island, according to the website. Staff at the hotel were not able to confirm the report, and Fox?s publicist did not immediately return an e-mail seeking comment.
It is the first marriage for both. Reuters
