SEXY comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto is categorically denying that she is pregnant with former Pampanga Rep. Mikey Arroyo?s child, insisting she has not communicated with him for quite a while.

Mikey, son of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, is rumored to be Rufa Mae?s mysterious businessman-politician boyfriend. The comedienne denies this as well. Mikey has been married to Ma. Angela Montenegro since June 2002.

?I don?t want to talk about the Arroyo family anymore?baka affected na sila,? Rufa Mae told Inquirer recently. ?I?ve not talked with Mikey about this, either. What would I tell him? Although I have to send him a text message sooner or later, just to ask how he is?his mom may already be angry with all these rumors circulating.?

Rufa Mae said it is unfortunate?and something that makes her unhappy?that her love life has turned into a laughing matter for the public. ?I have feelings, too,? she told us during the launch of ?Kaya ng Powers,? her new GMA 7 sitcom. ?I guess some people entertain themselves that way.?

The actress added: ?I intend to be physically, mentally, emotionally and financially prepared before I have a baby. Plus, I certainly want to be married first. I don?t want to feel depressed while pregnant. Mahirap magbuntis, I think. I want everything to be okay?walang negative vibes.?

Wedding postponed

Rufa Mae said the grand wedding that, she earlier announced, would take place this year, would have to be postponed for a few reasons: ?Yes, we?re engaged and we want to be together for life, but it?s not easy. We want the controversy to die down first. [My partner] is a very private person. He?s low-profile. He easily gets affected by rumors. I want to be able to talk about the wedding with him beside me, when he?s finally ready to face everybody?hindi lang siya mystery man.?

More work

Rufa Mae also said she received more work after she made public her decision to settle down. ?It?s like people don?t like me to quit show biz. That?s another reason I?m having second thoughts about leaving. Tama bang ikasal na ako ngayon??

Rufa Mae recently signed a two-year management contract with GMA 7. ?I told my bosses to give me two years, itotodo ko ang trabaho. After that, I?ll decide whether or not I?ll leave.?

Rufa Mae said she was busy helping her best friend, actress LJ Moreno, prepare for the latter?s wedding. LJ is marrying basketball star Jimmy Alapag in August. ?I told her, you go first. Maybe 2011 is the year for me,? Rufa Mae said.

The comedienne plays Mrs. Stephanie Powers in the sitcom, ?Kaya ng Powers,? inspired by the Disney animated film ?The Incredibles.? Joey Marquez plays Dr. Robert Powers, the patriarch. Stephanie?s three children are portrayed by Rhian Ramos (Hillary), Sheena Halili (Shalani) and Elmo Magalona (Gustin).

Mommy roles

?I don?t mind portraying mommy roles like this. I look at this as part of my preparation for having my own family,? Rufa Mae, 32, said. ?I also have to mature as an actress. This is some sort of reinvention.?

?Kaya ng Powers? also stars Jaya Ramsey, Bearwin Meily, Rocco Nacino, Enzo Pineda, Alyssa Alano and Elija Alejo. The show premieres July 24 right after ?24 Oras Weekend? on the Sabado Star Power time slot.
