I immensely enjoyed bonding with my BFF Cesar Montano and his fab wife, Sunshine Cruz, at their resto, Bellissimo. Buboy was in high spirits, in spite of his ongoing tiff with former manager Norma Japitana.

?She feels there was a deception. Actually, it?s a misconception,? explained Cesar. ?She knew I was signing up with GMA 7. We spoke on the phone a few days before I went to GMA.?

?Di kasi natuloy yung movie ko with Star Cinema. I asked permission from the big bosses of ABS-CBN na lilipat muna ko sa kabila kasi wala pa silang plano for me. I couldn?t just sit and wait; I have a family to provide for.?

?I have been trying to contact Tita Norma, to no avail. Sana magkausap kami nang harapan. Before I talk with Pami, kami muna dapat ni Tita Norma ang magkasundo. Baka kasi akala niya wala akong plano for her sa paglipat ko sa GMA.

?Most of my ads nga, kahit ako ang nag-deal, nilalapit ko pa rin sa kanya para may share siya. Priceless yung pinagsamahan namin for 26 years. Pamilya na namin siya so of all people akala ko siya ang unang makakaintindi why I have to seek greener pastures for the sake of my family.?

Suggestion

I also love Tita Norma. She practically watched me grow up. I hope she doesn?t mind my suggesting that she go easy on Buboy, who hasn?t fully bounced back from two consecutive tragedies?the death of his son Angelo and his loss in the elections.

Tita Norma should just stick to the issues. It?s absurd that she even brought up Buboy?s guest stint in ?Wowowee.? Why would Buboy want to be the host of a show that?s not identified with him? Besides, Buboy and Willie Revillame go back a long way, so he would not dare snatch Willie?s show away. If there?s any show he would like to host again, it?s ?Singing Bee,? which opened new doors for him.

I sincerely hope they patch things up soon. Knowing Buboy and Tita Norma, when they finally get to talk, what they would argue about is who loves the other more.

Angelo?s eyes

On a lighter note, Buboy and Shine were moved when they got this e-mail. It only goes to show that Buboy?s late son, Angelo, is watching over his family, especially now that they are in the eye of a storm.

?My wife Camille is in Bacolod for a ballet dance tour and she is now with one of her mentors, Tita Lydia Gaston. Tita Lydia started losing her eyesight a few years back and had been suffering because of it for the past three years. Still, she pushed on, teaching young ballet dancers, trying her best to see their forms and pass on her knowledge, but knowing that she was losing the battle.

?Then a few months ago she underwent an eye operation to replace her cornea, and it?s been nothing short of a miracle. She can now see again. And more importantly for her, she can now teach again. She has gained back her confidence ? gained back her life.

?Next year, Tita Lydia will be celebrating her 50th year as a molder of young dancers. Her past students who have gone on to bigger and brighter careers will come back to perform in a recital in Tita Lydia?s honor in Bacolod in August. She would like to invite your whole family.
