MANILA, Philippines?Robin Padilla told the Inquirer he was ?very happy? about his new game show with Kris Aquino, which replaces ?Wowowee? starting Saturday, July 31.

ABS-CBN announced the launch of ?Pilipinas For The Win? in a statement released Tuesday.

In a text message, Padilla said: ?I am very happy ? I consider this a way of serving Filipinos. All I ever wanted is to serve my compatriots, wherever they may be in the world.?

The network said ?Wowowee? co-hosts Valerie Concepcion, Mariel Rodriguez and Pokwang will be retained in the new game-variety show, Monday to Saturday, after ?Showtime.?

Bong Osorio, network corporate communications head, said ?Wowowee? host (on vacation) Willie Revillame was informed about the new development through his manager, Arlene de Castro.?

Osorio said a new program was being planned for Revillame. He added that ?Pilipinas? will be managed by director Johnny Manahan and creative director Bobot Mortiz.

Mortiz, a close friend of Revillame?s, told the Inquirer that Revillame was ?okay.? Bayani San Diego Jr.
