VILMA SANTOS-RECTO was the guest of honor at the inauguration of the Philippine Veterans Bank branch at SmB bldg., JP Laurel highway, Lipa City. After delivering a speech, she chatted with us.

Her comeback movie, ?In My Life,? was a huge success. She says she?s open to a sequel, showing her character?s life in New York after her son?s death.

She?s excited about her upcoming projects for Star Cinema: One of them will be directed by Chito Roño, and the other is her much-awaited pairing with Sharon Cuneta. She shares, ?When Shawie and I met at the inauguration of President Noynoy Aquino, she said magpapapayat na siya talaga kapag sure na ang shooting. I told her to start soon so that, by the time she?s through with her weight-loss regimen, tapos na ang script.?

Acclaimed indie

Atty. Joji Alonzo, producer of the acclaimed indie, ?Kubrador,? has also asked Vilma to appear in a digital film. Vilma recalls, ?I said, why not? Pangarap ko talagang makagawa ng indie.?

Vilma has so much to be grateful for. But, she?s particularly thankful that her constituents allow her to continue making films. ?But,? she shares, ?I?m committed to the people of Batangas?they?re my top priority!?
