SENATOR Jose ?Jinggoy? Estrada and two industry groups have given President Benigno Aquino III their choices for new heads of movie industry agencies.

In a letter that he ?personally? handed to Aquino, Estrada and the Nagkakaisang Manggagawa ng Pelikulang Pilipino and Directors? Guild of the Philippines recommended Grace Poe for the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB); Tirso Cruz III for the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP); Joel Lamangan, Tony Y. Reyes and Romy Suzara for the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP); and Laurice Guillen for the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

Guillen told the Philippine Daily Inquirer that the recommendation was ?unexpected? and that she would study the law governing NCCA ?to see if it will conflict with my present work.?

Poe told the Inquirer via SMS: ?I am touched and humbled by the recommendation.?
