He met his match in Manila

Recently in Manila, ?Tekken? star Jon Foo showed us his bruises like each one was a badge of honor.

Of two gashes on his left arm, he explained: ?I had to break a bamboo pole. The first bruise is from Take 1, the second from Take 2.? He had a swollen foot ?from all the kicking,? and a scar on his right knuckle.

All from a current Bangkok shoot for ?Rebirth,? a French action flick.

For ?Tekken,? Jon said, he was also on his toes constantly, to survive limb-threatening fight scenes.

?It was my first big role,? he said. ?The shoot was like a crash course.? Director Dwight H. Little taught him the importance of being relaxed on the set, Jon added. ?Newcomers are pressured to do well. He helped me chill.?

In Manila, the good-looking daredevil who started doing ?all sorts of dangerous stunts? at age 8, met his match: Balut!

Laughing, he recalled, ?I ate it quickly and tried not to look at it.?
