LOS ANGELES ? Krista Ranillo and Fil-Am businessman Niño Jeff Lim, who recently got married in LA, are thrilled that their first child will be born in April.

?Niño?s birthday is April 25 and mine is April 27,? Krista told Inquirer in an exclusive phone interview.

Jeff, who owns the Island Pacific supermarket chain, has three kids from a previous marriage, whose ages are 5, 8 and 11. ?I?m close to them,? Krista said. ?We?re just like friends. They?re very good kids.?

She said her parents, Mat Ranillo III and Lynda Tupaz, had been taken by surprise when told about the wedding plans. ?My Dad cried because it was hard for him to let go. But they both love Niño like their own son.? Her brother Kevin and sister Trixie were ?both happy for me,? Krista said, ?because they?ve known Jeff for a long time.?

They have decided to get married again in the Philippines, she said, for her friends and show biz acquaintances. Also, her grandmother, veteran actress Gloria Sevilla, didn?t make it to the US wedding. ?But we have not picked a church,? said Krista.

Meanwhile, she is quitting show biz to concentrate on being a mother and wife. ?We have moved to the (San Fernando) Valley to start our family,? Krista said. They have no plans for a honeymoon?yet.

She said no feng shui practice was involved in their choice of wedding dates?8/8 (Aug. 8) and, in the Philippines, 11/11/11. ?That was just coincidence.?
