Special Jury Prize was shared by three entries: Gutierrez Mangansakan II?s ?Limbunan? (New Breed Full Length category), Jay Altarejos? ?Pink Halo-Halo? (Directors? Showcase), and Pam Miras? ?Wag Kang Titingin? (Shorts).
?Limbunan? was cited for ?insightful and sensitive portrayal of a Maguindanao girl?s mixed feelings about her pre-arranged marriage?; ?Pink Halo-Halo,? for making the audience ?confront a young boy?s raw anguish over his soldier-father?s death?; and ?Wag Kang Titingin? for ?its haunting visual narration of how violence affects children in a war-torn area.?
The Audience Choice award went to Robert Quilao?s animated fantasy ?Dayo.?
The jury was composed of Alice Panares, Luis Gatmaitan, Elmar Ingles and Alma Quinto.
