KIM DEREK Cornel Regasa, a 9-year-old Dutch-Filipino boy, has made it to the finals of ?Holland?s Got Talent??a spin-off from the British reality talent search franchise owned by Simon Cowell.

Regasa was reportedly one of 4,000 aspirants who auditioned for the contest, out of which 32 passed and moved on to the semifinals.

Born to a Filipina mom (who had also taken up singing at a young age), and a Dutch dad, Regasa has been joining singing contests since he was 3, and actually winning several times.

YouTube has videos of Regasa?s performances, the last of which is a heartwarming version of Jackson 5?s ?Who?s Lovin? You? which won for him a slot in the semifinals.

Regasa?s voice, like kids his age, shrill?but has a gruff, R&B edge like a black man?s.

The ?Holland?s Got Talent? finals will be held Sept. 10 in Studio 24, Hilversum, Holland. The winner will be determined by text votes. Pocholo Concepcion
