WE ALL need good attitudes and values to help us get through life. Here are some Chinese sayings to guide us on our journey:

?Anything that comes into contact with vermilion will be stained red; anything that touches ink will be dyed black.? ?One?s consciousness will be influenced by the company he keeps.

?Just as a single spark can start a prairie fire, a minor problem may develop into a major disaster.? Always prevent problems from arising and escalating.

?As long as green hills remain, there won?t be any shortage of firewood.? While there is goodness, there?s happiness.

?Magistrates are allowed to burn down houses, while common people are forbidden to light lamps.? A double standard exists between officials and citizens. For the good of society, there should be only one.

?Just as nature keeps renewing itself, a gentleman works untiringly at improving himself.? It is best to mature and change continually for one?s betterment.

?Till the end of its life, a silkworm keeps spinning silk. Till it burns itself out, a candle keeps providing light.? A sincere servant of the Supreme Being serves unconditionally and tirelessly.
