Yilmaz asks Ruffa to fly back to Turkey

Is Yilmas Bektas wooing Ruffa Gutierrez back? Tita Cristy Fermin, Mo Twister and I overheard him saying ?I love you? to her on the phone before we went on the air for ?Paparazzi.?

?He is asking if I?m done with my show biz commitments,? Ruffa said. ?And if I would like to fly back to Turkey and start a new life.?

With all the great things going for Rufs here, turning her back on show biz is farthest from her mind. Situations change, love remains.

Like family

I?m relieved that Liezl Sicangco and I have finally made peace. I was touched when she said via phone patch on ?Paparazzi:? ?Humihingi ako ng dispensa sa?yo. Never naman kita ginulo.?

Many controversies ago, we were at odds with each other at the height of my liaison dangereuse with Binoe. I was also moved by Binoe?s message on the show: ?Salamat sa pagtatanggol mo sa akin.?

No need for apologies and ?thank yous,? though, because Binoe and Liezl were my mom?s anak-anakan so they will always be like family to me.

I?d like to believe it?s more than coincidence that the peace-making happened on the seventh death anniversary of my mom. I know that?s the way she would have wanted it.

New show biz couple?

Are Illac Diaz and Julia Clarete the newest couple in Showbizlandia? I asked Gloria Diaz about it but she?s clueless. If it?s true, is Illac willing to be a stepdad to Julia?s kid?

A certified environmentalist like Illac surely wouldn?t care for children any less.

Rhian as Catwoman

Mo turned into a kid when he showed me a cartoon photograph of Rhian Ramos as Catwoman, drawn by the illustrator of DC comics? original Batman series who?s his good friend. He also proudly showed me the illustration of a ?Good Times with Mo? billboard with his face on it which is included in the popular comics series.

Then he turned into a softie when asked about Moira, his love child with Bunny Paras.
?I hope Bunny will stop saying that I?m not giving our daughter financial support,? he said. ?She probably wants 30 seconds of fame because she wants to make a comeback in show biz. I hope she stops saying that our kid has brain tumor. Moira is healed. I don?t want our kid to be teased in school about it. I know I cannot make up for lost time with Moira. It was not my choice, but by circumstance, that I didn?t see her for seven years. I didn?t know [Bunny?s] number and address. I promise that from now on I will always be there for [Moira].? Fatherhood is something Mo wears so well.

?Universal? blast

My kids and I had a blast in Singapore, especially in Universal Studios. It?s great to know that most of the entertainers in the theme park are Filipinos. When I had my pic taken with the Kung Fu Panda and the men in stilts, they were extra accommodating because we?re kababayan.

They are currently holding auditions for ?Lion King? and their preference for cast members are Pinoys.

Business fair

The ?Grand Kapamilya Negosyo Fair 2,? a project of ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs, was a success. More than 22,000 Kapamilya flocked for two days in hopes of starting their own business. They were able to learn from the experts such as Francisco Colayco, Francis Kong, Danny Antonio and Hapinoy, who gave practical business tips.

Celebrity business owners Dimples Romana, Tintin Bersola, Giselle Sanchez, Gladys Reyes, Ping Medina, Joel Cruz and Ricky Reyes also shared their business insights. Kapamilya na, Kanegosyo pa!

Personal: Endless thanks to GMA Pinoy TV Singapore head, Jigs Pagulayan, Rom and Dale for making my birthday trip to the Lion City all the more fun and memorable.
