Filed Under: Cinema, Metro Manila Film Festival

(We are running this guide to help moviegoers plan their holiday cinema tour. The 36th MMFF runs from Dec. 25 to Jan. 7, 2011.)

Directed by Tony Y. Reyes and Rico Gutierrez

Starring Vic Sotto, Bong Revilla, Gwen Zamora, Sam Pinto, Oyo Soto, Bing Loyzaga, and Amy Perez, among others

Produced by M-Zet Films, Imus Productions, GMA Films, APT Entertainment and OctoArts Films

Vic is Enteng Kabisote, the mortal who merges with fairies to eliminate the dark forces in Encantasia. Bong is Agimat, the valiant hero from the land of Mahapay who vows to destroy the demons that reign over his land. Monsters, who seem capable of traveling into other worlds, are terrorizing Mahapay. In one encounter, Agimat is able to crossover with some of them to Encantasia. It turns out that Santana, an evil fairy, is the one ordering the monsters to snatch children. She needs their blood to revive Ragat, the powerful lord of darkness. Satana will also need a blood of a fairy, and Faye, Enteng's wife, is the perfect choice. With the help of Agimat, Enteng now has to rescue Faye, battle the monsters and kill the Dark Lord. With five producers, this project is expected to become the top-earning film in the 10-day festival. Marinel R. Cruz
