MANILA, Philippines?Television host Willie Revillame is the ?principal player? in the child abuse incident that happened on his game show last month, Department of Social Welfare and Development spokesperson Atty. Nancy Quimpo said Thursday.

In a Radyo Inquirer interview, Quimpo clarified why Revillame was singled out as the only respondent in the complaint that the DSWD filed Wednesday at the Quezon City Prosecutor?s Office.

?Si Mr. Revillame ang may malinaw na panghihiya at pangkukutya sa bata [Mr. Revillame was the one who clearly humiliated and ridiculed the child], Quimpo said.

The DSWD filed a child abuse case against Revillame over the incident where a boy who was in tears was made to gyrate like a ?macho dancer? on his TV5 game show ?Willing Willie.?
