MANILA, Philippines - Operatic arias culled from five different war-horse operas highlight tenor Gary del Rosario?s concert at the Philamlife Theater on Feb. 1, 8 p.m.
The arias are lined up on the second part of the program: ?De? Miei Bollenti Spiriti? (Verdi, ?La Traviata?); ?Cielo e Mar? (Ponchielli, ?La Gioconda?); ?La Fleur que Tu M?Avais Jetee? (Bizet, ?Carmen?); ?Parmi Veder le Lagrime? and ?La Donna e Mobile? (Verdi, ?Rigoletto?); ?Salut! Demuere Chaste et Pure? (Gounod, ?Faust?) and ?Che Gelida Manina? (Pucini, ?La Boheme?).
German, French and Italian art songs, as well as Spanish and Filipino sarswela arias, grace the first part of the program.
Dean Raul Sunico of the UST Conservatory of Music will be the collaborating pianist.

At Ricco Renzo on Feb. 3, 7 p.m., Gary will be featured in a special pre-Valentine concert. He will render light classics, Neapolitan songs, operatic arias and Philippine love songs.
Special guest is soprano Naomi Sison who will sing some Broadway and operatic duets with Gary. Farley Asuncion will be the collaborating pianist.
The concert promises to be unique as art interaction will be fused with the performance. Leading painters will capture the performance on their canvases.

After these performances, Gary flies back to Seattle, Washington, where he is based, to fulfill some engagements. He will essay the role of ?Prince Henry? in Offenbach?s operetta ?Gypsy Princess,? mounted by the Seattle Gilbert and Sullivan Society at the Seattle Town Hall, Feb. 28-March 2.
Next, he will essay the role of Rodolfo in Puccini?s ?La Boheme,? presented by the Portland State University at Portland, Oregon, March 26-April 9.
He will essay the same role for the Philippine Opera Company production of the opera at the CCP in October this year.
