MANILA, Philippines?Fourteen participants in our photo safari flew to Batanes last Feb. 22-25, and had a fun adventure. And, traveling with a camera made the experience even more satisfying and thrilling!
Panoramic views
The sky was overcast when we arrived in Batanes. Nevertheless, the weather added ?mood? to the pictures: Glorious, panoramic views were everywhere, but even the small details were just as interesting.
We told the participants that people are important elements in travel pictures. To enliven group photographs, it?s essential to put in actions and expressions?which are accomplished by proper coaching.
The latest batch is made up of enthusiastic and good-natured people. With cameras in hand, nothing escaped their eyes! They caught remarkably evocative images of Batanes.
Topics
The last night of the photo safari was spent critiquing the participants? chosen photos. Topics covered were Portraiture, Fashion, Nature and Abstract Photography, Jumpology and Architecture.
We told them to continue reading about photography, to shoot often, get as much experience as possible?and expose themselves to museums to observe how painters use light.
Since photographs operate with light, they must be aware of this indispensable element. To be visually adept, they have to be well-rounded!
