MANILA, Philippines—Spring makeup can be described in three words: fresh, youthful, and clean. Nothing too over the top, the colors mostly in pastel.

Premier Japanese makeup artist Kazuyuki Ogawa, using Shiseido’s Spring Summer collection, shows us here how to get lasting flawless skin and change looks from day to night in less than five minutes.

Base: This base is used in all four looks.

• Shiseido The Make Up (STM) Dual Balancing Foundation
• STM Concealer Stick
• STM Enriched Loose Powder
• STM Luminizing Color Powder

1. After applying foundation, pat down with sponge to remove excess foundation.
2. Apply concealer on the outer eye corner, wings of the nose, and lip corners. Don’t forget to pat down with fingers after application.
3. Apply loose powder using a large brush and pat down with sponge puff to remove excess powder.
4. To achieve a perfect finish, Ogawa used Shiseido The Make Up Luminizing color powder in translucent under eyes and T-zone.

Playful

A trendy look that focuses on the eyes and conceals the lips.

Eyes: Ogawa combined three colors using two different eyeshadow quads—STM Flora and Fauna and STM Earth & Sky. Yellow was used for eyeshadow, and orange and blue eyeshadow as eyeliner.

Orange was used on the inner corner of the eyes and blue as the entire under-eyeliner.

Cheeks: STM Blush Playful Pink shade

Laidback

This look shifts emphasis to the lower eyeline. Ogawa erased the eye makeup in Look 2 and created another look for the eyes.

Eyes: STM Accentuating Cream liner, used only on the lower lid. This liner is easy to apply because of its uniquely creamy texture.

Lips: To maintain the emphasis on the eyes, Ogawa used STM Lip Gloss in pale shade.

Fresh

A fresh look that’s perfect for daytime.

Eyes: Ogawa used STM Hydropowder Eye Shadow Lemon sugar as highlighter to create radiant eyes.

Cheeks: Natural blushing cheeks were created using STM Multishade Enhancer Sunset Glow shade.

Lips: Used STM Shimmering Lipstick (SL16 shade)

Glam

A crazy-beautiful look, with emphasis still on the peepers.

Eyes: Ogawa created a very thick eyeline to serve as base color using STM eyeliner pencil in black. Then he applied eyeshadow in lunar phases. To achieve natural gradation in color, he used STM Flora & Fauna Eyeshadow Quad.

Cheeks: STM Blush Playful Pink shade

Lips: STM Lip gloss in beige shadow
