Concert that’s live and loud

MANILA, Philippines?Eastwood City was rocked to its core when Samsung Mobile Philippines launched the latest music mobile phones through the Live Loud music campaign last March 14 in Libis, Quezon City.

Hosted by Luis Manzano and Andy Manzano, the Live Loud event was packed with activities that allowed audiophiles to express themselves and their passion for music.

Models clad in silver and white catwalked to the tune of South Border?s ?Rainbow.? Reggae band Brownman Revival made the crowd sashay to ?Maling Akala,? among others.

Dubbed as ?Pambansang Banda ng Pilipinas,? Samsung Live Loud brand ambassador Parokya ni Edgar treated the crowd to such favorites such as ?Buloy,? ?Picha Pie,? ?Halaga,? and ?Mr. Suave.?

The band completely connected with their audience. Their energy was contagious; soon the people were jumping up and down and singing along.

Parokya ni Edgar has always been known for its quirky and original rock novelty songs. The band has received several recognitions from the music industry, aside from several gold and platinum record sales awards. Its latest album is ?Solid.?

Gab Cheekee, Parokya ni Edgar guitarist, said, ?For us, to live loud means to live through our music and actions, and to always give 110 percent in every gig that we play, even if we?re all tired or there are not that many people watching us.?

New phones

Fe Varilla, Samsung head of mobile phones, said that the newly released mobile phones?the i450, f330 and f250?are aimed at the hardcore music lovers who want their music portable, and yet don?t want to carry too many gadgets with them.

The Samsung i450, with its Ice Power Technology by Bang & Olufsen, maximizes audio quality without sacrificing battery life. It slides one way to call and the other way to listen; the mobile also showcases metallic stereo speakers for professional audio output and a touch-sensitive half-wheel for navigating the mobile?s menu.

The f330 is stylish as it is functional, and podcasting is possible with this phone. With its slim and trendy look, the two-tone color scheme offer distinct looks: icy white for music and white and blue for calling.

The f250, with its glossy mirror-like surface, water drop buttons and brushed metal keypad, seamlessly fuses phone and music functions. Music can be easily transferred back and forth between mobile and computer.

Parokya ni Edgar will spread the Samsung Live Loud vibe in a series of concerts that will continue to Baguio on March 23, and to Cebu and Cagayan de Oro in April and May, respectively.
