MANILA, Philippines?Dr. Vicki Belo, medical director of the Belo Medical Group (BMG), revealed her second ?Skin? recently in a star-studded event that also coincided with the opening of her seventh clinic at the Trinoma in Quezon City.
Like its maiden issue in 2004, Skin is a homegrown glossy that tackles all sorts of beauty problems and the latest corresponding cosmetic procedures BMG has to offer. Most of the celebrities in attendance, including cover girl Claudine Barretto, also graced the magazine?s pages.
Led by Belo, medical partners and staffers, including her daughter Cristalle, welcomed BMG?s celebrity guests, who included show biz couples Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto, Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres, and Albert and Liezl Martinez.
Also adding glitter to the al fresco party at the Trinoma Park were Dingdong Dantes, Iza Calzado, Joyce Jimenez, Ara Mina, Donita Rose, Katrina Halili, Mariel Rodriguez, Victor Basa and John Estrada, among others.
?As I often say, my dream is to make the Philippines beautiful one person at a time,? said Belo. ?Skin magazine is in keeping with that dream and vision.?
Skin is also an ideal medium for these celebrities to give their endorsement of BMG, which, Belo added, has the most number of famous faces in its roster.
The development also mirrors the growing demand for BMG?s services, particularly from people living in the provinces.
Almost 60 percent of its clientele is reportedly based outside Metro Manila. The Trinoma clinic aims to address the needs of beauty junkies, both men and women, from as far as Bulacan and Pampanga.
Like all of BMG?s mall-based clinics, the Trinoma branch provides clients with a long list of so-called ?lunch-time? procedures.
Apart from routine services such as facials, bleaching, body scrubs and laser sessions, the Trinoma clinic offers such figure-enhancing treatments as mesotherapy, sclerotheraphy and lipo-dissolve.
Those who want to turn back the clock can undergo Firm-Plus, which uses a combination of radio frequency and infrared energy to combat sagging skin, and Simonin, the latest anti-aging treatment from France.
Other services on the menu include Pan-G, Botox, Lift 6 Cosmecanique, and Restylane and Perlane dermal fillers.
?I plan to open additional mall-based clinics,? said Belo, who pioneered in this direction. ?Mall clinics make the whole process of beauty more convenient for most women.?
