MANILA, Philippines?Loyal Rustan?s customers got first dibs at its summer fashion lines one Saturday before Lent in an invitational ?Shop & Spa? event hosted by sisters-in-law Hindy Weber Tantoco and Kat Tantoco Lobregat.

Hindy, who wore a green strapless dress from the summer collection of her Culte Femme label, unveiled covetable gladiator sandals, short- and floor-length loungewear and nautical-inspired white and navy shorts with gold buttons, and a cocktail mix of footwear and bags in fuchsia, mustard and green.

It was also an opportunity for Culte Femme clientele to consult the designer on fashion. Hindy, for instance, was giving tips to a petite client who was fretting over the length of a dress.

This is the third year the Rustan?s scions have held such an event, and its success is inspiring plans to make it a bigger, possibly twice-a-year thing, said Kat.

Apart from getting first crack at the latest swimwear from such brands as Sea Folly, Tigerlily, Anika, Letarte, Salinas and Antik Batik, the guests also enjoyed free spa services?rubdowns from Island Spa, mani-pedi from Nail Tropics, cold treats from Häagen-Dazs and freebies from L?Occitane.

There was a wide selection of bags and shoes?Corso Como, Report Signature, Dolce Vita, Juicy Couture, as well as from pop-rock chick Gwen Stefani?s fashion label LAMB, and some metallic sandals from Sigerson Morrison and Giuseppe Zanotti.
