She’s Pinay, and she’s making waves in Canada. Elise may have lost in “Pinoy Pop Superstar” in 2006, but that didn’t stop her from pursuing an international music career. The Tila Tequila/Ramiele Malubay look-alike has a music video of her ’90s-sounding feel-good single “Insatiable,” and both the song and the sexy video are impressive.

There’s one thing Tay Zonday is famous for: his very unique voice, which can remind you of a frog, Darth Vader or a frog using Darth Vader’s mask. The YouTube sensation who looks like the son of Kermit the Frog and Janet Jackson is reportedly 25 years old, but looks just 15. His most popular composition, “Chocolate Rain,” recently won a YouTube Music award.

Check out the “Umbrella” singer murdering Mariah Carey’s “Hero” back when she was just a student performing at school. While her voice was already unique-sounding then, Rihanna couldn’t quite hit those high notes. She tried, but, oh, how she failed! We’re pretty sure this isn’t the performance that inked her a recording deal.

Move over Renaldo Lapuz, another “Idol” reject has the spotlight. Valentina Hasan, who auditioned for Bulgaria’s “Music Idol,” sang an audition piece called “Ken Lee.” Not familiar with it? That’s because the song’s real title is “Without You” by Mariah Carey. Valentina—or Ken Lee as she’s now popularly known—just calls it such. She also created her own unintelligible lyrics and, when asked what language it was, said it was English!
