How to sell online

Philippine Daily Inquirer

Filed Under: Internet, Lifestyle & Leisure

1. Make your site easy to navigate. No heavy loading graphics, loud music and eye-gouging colors.

2. In posting photos of your products, choose those that present them in their truest form. Colors should be as close to what the actual item looks like. If the product is complicated, shoot it from different angles to give the buyer a clear idea.

3. Post clear instructions on prices and payment.

4. Reply to queries immediately. If you don’t, buyers will think you’re not serious about your business.

5. Be pleasant to your potential clients, they have the cash.

6. Don’t overprice, because you will be found out anyway. Everything is just a Google away.

7. If you’re selling clothing and apparel, indicate measurements so the buyer can choose correct sizes.

8. Provide variety and think of something that would give you an edge over other sellers. News of good packaging and free items spreads fast in Multiply.
