Knockout!
Color coordination

MANILA, Philippines—The most overlooked step in putting makeup on is also the most important and most difficult—getting your skin to look clear and clean.

To begin with, most of the time, foundation colors are limited. In most cases the color may be a shade lighter or darker than what you need. There are also other steps to consider such as applying concealer and covering blemishes.

Yes, putting on makeup is more complicated than it seems and can be very time consuming. In fact, makeup professionals say that two out of three women are not wearing their correct foundation color.

Luckily there is a brand that seeks to make the perfect foundation shade available to everyone. Created by makeup artist Rebecca Morrice Williams, who had shared women’s frustration for the hunt for the right shade, Becca seeks to provide the ultimate range in skin-perfecting products, regardless of skin tone and type, and age available.

Becca’s star products are its Skin Perfecting System, which corrects, perfects and enhances the skin. With over 34 shades of concealers and 30 colors of stick foundation, it will surely provide the one shade that will perfectly match your skin tone. So say good bye to floating faces and mixing foundations to get your skin tone.

A boost to Becca is that its products also contain SPF 20 to 30+ with full spectrum UVA and UVB protection that will prevent premature aging. The ingredients also mean less products to put on as well as improved skin condition and appearance. The products are also non-pore clogging and dermatologically tested.

Choosing and applying

When choosing the right shade, it is important to be in a well-lit place. Trying the shade under natural daylight is important so you will not end up with a shade darker or lighter than your natural skin tone when you step out of the house or shop. The color has to disappear like second skin.

It is still best to test the product under your jaw line because the color should match both your face and neck. A cosmetic sponge gives a better finish than using your fingers. Also it is more hygienic and will make blending easier.

Set the color with translucent powder. Focus on consistency and color when it comes to concealers. Becca’s concealers come in two consistencies, depending on the coverage you need. Remember to push the concealer in with a rolling motion instead of swiping it on. Avoid pulling your skin.

Celebs’ faves

Becca has a wide range of quality products that celebrities love. A favorite is Luminous Skin Color, which is a tinted moisturizer and sheer foundation.

Personally I’m going gaga over Becca’s mascara and liquid cheek tint in watermelon.

I can honestly say Becca is one of the most exciting beauty brands available in Adora today. In fact, I will dump the other products I have been loyal to and make the big switch. Check Becca out and you will understand why.
