“I USE Clinique Derma White. This brightening eye cream is hydrating and instantly helps lighten the eye area. I use it in the morning and at night. It comes with eye protector SPF 15. It’s also very light; I can wear it even under makeup, not like other eye creams that cake up with the powder.”—Liz Almoro, entrepreneur

Proper undereye skin care

MANILA, Philippines?Fact: The skin under our eyes is very thin. It is seven times more delicate than the skin on our face. It doesn?t produce oil, so it is prone to wrinkles.

But if there is an area in our face that we often overlook but we really have to take care of, it would be the skin around our eyes.

Just yesterday, I walked in on my husband and his friends talking about ?It? girls in the ?80s, and I was shocked to hear one guy?s comment about a formerly hot girl who now sports crow?s feet. Now I know why women have the license to be a little vain. Guys can be very critical.

When using eye cream, just pat it onto skin, never rub. Use your ring finger, since it is the gentlest of your five digits. Rubbing the cream in will tug at your skin and just encourage the formation of wrinkles.

There are many eye creams available. I suggest having one for the day with SPF and a rich one for nighttime. There are also creams for dark circles, puffiness and dull eyes.

What eye cream do some of our glamorous women use?
