MANILA, Philippines - 1. Leave behind the insanely packed White Beach and head for the less crowded Puka Beach. The boatmen would like you to believe otherwise but you can actually take a tricycle from the White Beach to Puka Beach. Have lunch at TonTon?s?they serve fresh seafood cooked the way you want it.

2. Rent a cabana at Waling-Waling and take an afternoon nap on one of the hammocks. Wake up to the view of the sunset and wonder where all those hours went.

3. Abandon your low-carb diet for one meal and try Nami?s salpicao, served with garlic rice and apple slices. It is worth the trip.

4. While you?re at Nami, try the massage at their spa. You?ve never known kneading that good.

5. Real Coffee?s calamansi cupcakes are a delightful treat. You may even bring them back to the city.

6. Benito?s butter and sugar crepes are a good way to start the day.

7. Try zipping. But get your zips from the people who brought it to the country ?Planet Zips. Visit http://planetzips.multiply.com. Funny how the Bora knockoffs are even more expensive than the real ones.

8. Hit new highs and try parasailing. Don?t forget your camera so that you can capture the spectacular view of the island.

9. Buy gin and strawberry Kool-Aid from the first store you find, round up your drinking buddies, grab a spot in the sand and proceed to get sloshed. Your big challenge? Wake up the next morning without a hangover.

10. If you?ve got money to throw around, rent a trimaran and enjoy a sunset cruise with someone special. Don?t forget the hors d?oeuvres and champagne.
