MANILA, Philippines?As a father, Jones Campos, head of Globe Telecom?s PR division, sees to it that he is constantly in touch with wife Dette, who works as a nurse in the US, in all aspects of raising their children and grandchildren and managing the household. Communication, he says, is the key to long-distance relationships.

So, the Campos family makes the most out of vacations, which are spent with much creativity. He sees to it that whatever he does is something his children can emulate. Thoughtfulness during birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and special occasions, and creating meaningful memories together further solidify their bond.

Jones Campos is the newly-elected president of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP). He wants to see its members become more competent, because this leads to greater productivity and efficiency. Moreover, he?d like to inculcate in PRSP?s members his belief that competence goes hand in hand with being ethical.

Lectures

To do this, he encourages the group?s members to religiously attend meetings, lectures and development seminars. He says that this allows them to learn from one another. Among the ?must-attend? events are PRSP?s upcoming grand celebration next month, the PR congress in September, and the Anvil awards later in the year.
