MANILA, Philippines—Security Bank celebrates the good life filled with limitless possibilities with the launching of Security Bank Platinum MasterCard, dahlings.

With this card you get great deals, financial freedom, worldwide recognition, anytime anywhere.

Present at the happening was no less than Security Bank senior vice president and chief finance officer Carlos Borromeo and MasterCard country manager Poch Villa-Real.

“Good life” just keeps getting better and better and so much more pleasurable, ’di bala, palanggas?

Fun lunch at Circles

It was a truly fun get-together for the lunch bunch at one of my favorite restos, Circles of the busy-busy Shangri-La Hotel Makati. The hottest namedroppable Shangri-La famille welcomed us, led by the articulate and trés charmante Vivian Lo, brilliant country manager of Cathay Pacific. She informed us of their latest irresistible programs, dahlings.

Après the usual exchanging of calling cards, we sat down for the divine lunch. Then it was time to announce that Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in the Philippines has this fantastic tie-up with Asia Miles. This program enables members of Asia Miles to gain extra mileage while dining in style.

All you Asia Miles members can now earn fabulous miles when dining in any of the (take note, palanggas) 21 fine outlets of Shangri-La Hotel and Resorts and Traders Hotel in the country. This brings travel reward dining partners to 270 in 20 cities around the world, no less.

For every P40 spent with Asia Miles program you get five extra Asia Miles. Not bad, huh!

Shangri-La’s unmatchable VP and GM Greg Dogan, said in his welcome remarks: “We are delighted to have Shangri-La Hotel and Resorts in the Philippines and Traders Hotel, known to offer delightful cuisine that caters to local and foreign guests, onboard as our dining partner, as it is the only hotel group to have the strongest presence in the country. We are sure this will further strengthen Asia Miles’ position as Asia’s leading travel and lifestyle reward programme.”

Check it out, dahlings, so you don’t miss on this fab chance. Contact a travel professional or visit www.shangri-la.com.

Power of women

That popular Metrobank Femme Visa gave their all-out support to Fashion Watch Quartet, dahlings. It was a fantastic eye-catching series that brings out the freshness and super dynamism from the Philippine fashion industry, with some of the most exciting, awesome new designers in town. “Metrobank Femme Visa fits well with Fashion Watch Quartet as they both recognize the strength of women who are smart, confident, and career-oriented,” explained Metrobank’s Anjie Dy Buncio.

The shows featured the creations of Mike dela Rosa, JC Buendia, James Reyes, Oj Hofer, Avel Bacudio and Jojie Lloren.

Several super stylish women were awarded the Fashion Watch Femme. Check it out, palanggas, as more empowered women will be chosen from among the guests of the afternoon high-tea show. The Fashion Watch series continues in August till the end of the year at the grand lobby of Shangri-La Hotel Makati, no less, dahlings.

Grand opening of Brava

Moi was absolutely amazed, palanggas, with the grand opening of Brava, that had the invitees saying “Bravo” to L’Opera Group’s new place in Serendra, alongside the excellent Balducci Resto, on Bonifacio High Street, Fort Bonifacio.

Brava is a wonderful find, absolutely perfect with its fantastic list of martinis, bellinis, cosmopolitans, mojitos, spins on mojitos.

L’Opera Group’s latest baby also has bar chow choices as well. Check out the Cicchetto—the Italian version of tapas and hors d’oeuvres; Spicy polpo (octopus); juicy tenderloin skewers served with a plethora of luscious dipping sauces; perfectly deep-fried mozzarella sticks; homemade parmigiano chips; truffle-infused popcorn; pizzas, pizzas, plus more pizzas. Check these sumptuous treats at Brava.

It’s a winner, palanggas! Call 8563723.
